My, how the pendulum has swung! One-piece swimwear is trending like you would not believe! Dull, these are not! I'm having a ton of fun re-working all kinds of looks with LaPerla's turquoise swimsuit, especially this look! Oh, my! What fun!

It is safe to say that the former Ms. Pippa Middleton has kicked off "the wedding season with a splash!" And she did so winningly! The little boys and girls were all of that, and some! The Amazon Bridal Shop is setting out to be a wedding preparation destination. Yeah, now! Geez, you missed it Pippa...

Pippa is getting married this weekend!

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy! I don't know who is more excited! She is, probably! I love the idea of having the reception in a glass greenhouse! But getting back to earth...

Prints; particularly floral prints, have a way of making their way to the forefront during spring. I will wear some. Altough I prefer to wear solids mostly, roses are coming up at Karl Lagerfeld for Lord & Taylor x Vogue 125. Well! Happy 125th Anniversary, Vogue!  

A good denim dress is a real plus for summer. I'm starting to get into the unfinished hems. Consider it an overflow from not wanting to have to hem the frayed legs of blue jeans. Beats holes in the knees wouldn't you say?

Sephora is doing A-O.K.! I'm glad. It is a fun place to shop! So much to see! So much to smell! So much to apply! Sephora gets it...

A couple more days until Mother's Day!

Are you ready for it? I am pretty much...

I got a head start on the May festivities in our family last week...

Mom was born on May 6th. She turned 80 Saturday. The day before she spent the evening whirling around the yard on the new riding mower that she had purchased earlier in the day. She seemed to be having a lot of fun. If you think some folks in their 70's and 80's don't have get up and go, you would be wrong!

The pound cake that I made for her birthday, my birthday and Mother's Day to go along with the fresh strawberries we picked ourselves turned out to be pretty good. If you don't eat pound cake, you're aren't a proper Southerner! Any old how...

I'm a May baby, too. Talk about a great time of the year to be born! The weather is usually bright, sunny and warm here in the Sandhills of North Carolina...

I'm grateful for mom and I to be able to see another year. She is the oldest living of her siblings. I am the next to the oldest of my siblings. I hope, trust and pray that she gets another 10-20 years of living in. She would enjoy it, let me tell you! I want to have the spunk that she does as the years continue to go by. Is there a plan or something for that?

A kitten heel with a slingback and pointy toes are quite the classic with attitude! Yes, ma'am! I'll take 'em!

Kate Spade is about to become a part of the Coach family. It's all good! Both have such nice accessories...

FLOTUS; aka, Ms. Trump continues to wow in carefully chosen outfits. Yellow is fantastic for spring and summer. Go, Ms. Trump!

It's Resort 2018 time, folks!

Hello!

It has begun with; drum roll here please, Chanel Resort 2018!

I might as well go ahead and say it:  "Any collection that Karl Lagerfeld has a hand in is one that I am going to gravitate towards!"  His ability to reinterpret tweed in new ways is incomparable!

The above-the-knee tweed dresses with the rope belts, and gladiator sandals are dash-ing! Why I'd put them on, and just take off! No fuss!

The tweed coat can be worn as a coat (with or without a belt), or as a dress (with a belt)! I'd pair it with all sorts of bright pieces, and accessories too! Like it, like it, like it!

The pant/skirt(s) are crazy cool; edgy, actually! A skirt over a pair of pants is one thing, but this is something else altogether! This particular shade of brown is such a rich honey! Another like it, like it, like it!

A tweed pinafore is alright by me! I always did like pinafores! I wore them in junior high school! Yeah, back then! Harrumph! At any rate, pinafores are for the little girl in all of us ladies! Talk about a grown-up version!

The buttons-up-the-legs pants are; well, absolutely cool! In more ways than one!

I totally delight in summer knits, especially those that remind you of a fisherman's wharf! Call it outside of the season thinking, if you will!

Any of the soft white pieces would make chic bridal wear! Yes, of course! Indeed!

You know, Ms. Melania Trump's palazzo pants were seriously trending! You've got it; FLOTUS, you've got it!

And that little Princess Charlotte is without fail captivating! She seems to take after her mother, grandmother, and great grandmother in that regards! Oh me, oh my!
