All forces to be reckoned with!

Speaking of which, Amazon must be giddy right about now! Being able to try on clothing purchased online before you buy is another one of those seismic shifts in retail. It does make shopping that much more of a cinch. "What's next?" Mmmmm...

Walmart has fashion on their minds too, you know. Let's just do the shuffle!

Rihanna! Rihanna! Rihanna! If anyone has the capability of crossing over from music to fashion; if she wanna, it is she! The PVCs + stones are trending, in my book!

Wedding Season is always an exciting time of the year. And most of us are fortunate enough to know at least one person getting married over the summer. Being a memorable bride is what it's all about, if you ask me! This bride to be is doing it, and doing it well! Yup, the iconic black and white suits! Go, girl!

There is something to be said about wearing a work uniform! One does not have to wear the exact same thing every day; but, a given way of dressing can be a bonus no matter the occupation. We've all gotten so accustomed to throwing on something and going, so much so, I recently told  my mom that whatever she wore to her grandson's high school graduation earlier this month would probably look great. She is from the era where you dress as well as you can. Amusingly, she dresses better than most people my age! She doesn't dress old, per se. And, she certainly doesn't try to dress as if she is 25. She just knows what looks good on her. We could learn a thing or two from her. Speaking of which, you must check out Advanced Style! The ladies and gentlemen are truly amazing in their approach to fashion and style. 'Ya gotta love it!

Keep this up, and we'll all have the skin of a baby's bottom!

Old Navy is having a sale! Well, about to have a sale! A flip flop sale. Flip flops will be $1. Beginning June 24th. Buy online. Buy offline.

I've never worn MAC lipstick before, but! The MAC promotion of buy 2, get 1 free gives me pause! Buy online. Buy offline.

Notice a pattern? Buying online or offline is not a one or the other option here, obviously. It is a both! Makes sense to me. Good business sense, that is.

As we get closer to July 4th, there will be a lot of other sales too. It certainly does bring back memories of moonlighting in a certain fashion store up in the Shenandoah Valley. Oh, what memories! If I had to do it all over again, I sure would! Mmmmm, huh!

Seersucker is still happening down South! I've several pieces still, and will wear them in a North Carolina minute! The fabric is ideal for hot, humid climates. Get your seersucker on! You may want it in the days to come. I'm just saying...

This just out. Amazon is buying Whole Foods! Well, well, well! Folks have got to eat, right?

Vetements pulling out of the rat race

Hello!

I reckon Vetements said, "Enough already!" Other designers will probably begin to do the same. Sending out some sort of a collection every other month, every couple of months, or every three months is a massive undertaking. Think of the creativity required. Think of the cash required! I applaud you; folks, I really do!  

Depending upon where you reside, the mall may or may not be the mall that you are used to. It's subject to have a lot of things in it now; other than, retail stores that is. Well, I reckon that extra space has got to be used for something...

We Wear Culture: The Stories behind what we wear is online, at this writing! "Fashion is culture, and culture is fashion!" Or, so I say! One is a direct indicator of what is happening with the other. What a fascinating 'Google' project! I can't wait to see every collection that every designer ever made online, anyhow...

It's time to bring out the bikes, if you haven't already! I don't know which is easier, this or that quick burn! You tell me!

I have to tell you something. I tried exfoliating my face and body with cornmeal. It was O.K., but I ran out of cornmeal. I decided to try what was on hand. That happened to be:  grits! Oh! My! Goodness! Talk about a fabulous exfoliation! Who would have thunk? I do it a couple of times a week, now. My skin is looking better than ever before. I wish I had thought of it sooner...

Omarosa, you did!

Hello!

Omarosa must have worn the most striking wedding dress of the first half of 2017, at her recent nuptials! It was pure confection! It was Omarosa! I am happy for you, girl!  

Oversized shirts. Shirt dresses. T-shirt dresses. It's one and the same, mostly. One is oversized, be it a woman's dress or a man's shirt. I like belted men's shirts myself. One is a button down. One has no buttons whatsoever! It's all great summer wear...

Have you ever seen makeup brushes that cost more than a good pair of shoes? I had not, until now! All that I can say is:  They had better be good! 

The trend from brick & mortar to online shopping continues in leaps and bounds! Sears. RadioShack. Payless. Michael Kors. All have have been affected. More will be too. "Build it and they will come" no longer applies. Technology is a game changer...

Dessert is a good way to end most occasions. Apparently, someone is in hearty agreement! The Cracker Barrel Campfire S'mores is too good of a dessert to pass up. A Cracker Barrel is a skip and a hop away from me! Oh, boy!
