Hats are always right!

Hello!

Call me "old school" ; if you will, but I rarely appear in public without a hat! It does more than make up for 'a bad hair day' (every once in a while), it provides a finishing touch to an outfit! I think of it as:  an accessory! And the Downtown Abbey gals know exactly what I mean! [Look for the brooch! The brooch on the hat speaks to me!]

Days in the classroom are all about: that there denim!

Hello!

We all know, folks wear a lot of different things to school. Some look pretty good, and some not so good. The true and tried has always been, and will always be:  that there denim! And why is that? It's all about the coolness factor! Levi & Strauss did not look back once after crafting "work wear" from denim! It was a hit!

A lady might want to consider having the following pieces of denim to round out her "casual wear" wardrobe. [Although a denim jacket is a real no brainer, we won't address that here yet. We'll wait until the weather begins to get cooler. That may not be as long as you think!]

1)  A denim dress...

2)  A pair of denim slacks or pants; better known as, blue jeans...

3)  A denim skirt...

4)  Denim shorts...

Schools start back again in most counties here in North Carolina, next week. Denim outfits which can be worn to school include but are not limited to ---

Denim slacks or pants; AKA, blue jeans ---

Bib overalls (in particular) are gaining the interest of fashionistas, a-gain! [I wore a tomato red bib overall skirt in the 80's. It was fun!] They are as laid back as you want to be and comfortable, too. It certainly isn't the same 'ole, same 'ole! An 'Overalls International Weekend' has been held in New Orleans over the years! I guess we all have the desire to get back to nature at one time or another...
