The truth be told, I began a Top 10 Christmas 'whatever the year was' Gifts List a few years back. I have no idea what became of the lists. On a good year, the list got expanded to 75! Can you believe it? Good grief!

I.  Roberto Cavalli Degrade Sequin Dress

A little pricey I know; but, a real beauty! It reminds me of 'fire!' I can see myself  in this for years to come! I best!

II.  Girlfriend Collective Leggings

I was all ready to write leggings off! Too many people weren't wearing them all that well, or so I thought! And then I ran across these! Well!

III.  Chi Chi Earmuffs

A good way to keep the ears warm! Cold ears are about as bad as cold fingers and toes!

IV.  Manu Atelier Bags

Incredible bags, for day or evening! Not too small, and not too large...

V.  Magnolia Market Christmas Bells

I've chosen something that I can NOT wear! Mmmmm! Maybe, just maybe... 

VI.  Night Approach Gold Shoes

Silver, white gold or platinum is more my thing; but, these speak to me! Wear it with dresses, skirts, jeans...  

VII.  Flagpole X Oscar de la Renta Lynn Swimsuit

Retro enough for me! Back to gold again...

I'm up for trying a new scent, aren't you?

The Holiday 2016 season is here! "What are you going to wear to the festivities?"

You are going to go to more than one holiday affair, right? I'm thinking of Christmas here, in particular. [More on New Year's Eve, later.] Most folk do! Be prepared to appear in more than one place. I say that, jovially...

Two questions beg to be answered ---

1)  Where will the party be? Will it be at the workplace, or away from the workplace? Away from the workplace affairs are, a lot of the times but not always, more formal. At the workplace affairs are; a lot of the times but not always, less formal. I wouldn't get overly hung up on it one way or the other. You know your folk best! Your instincts will kick in, as you set about preparations...

2)  What are you most comfortable in? A dress? A blouse, and a skirt? A blouse, and pants? A sweater with a skirt, or pants? Given the time of year that it is, you will want outerwear on hand...

I; personally, opt for pants during the week. Come the weekend, especially Sunday, I want to step it up a notch or two!

As a woman, I know that I have looked forward to the office Christmas party. It's a time to show the even better self, and shine in a different sort of way. I always pull out a dress. Any excuse to wear a pair of heels! For many ladies, it is all about a little black dress, AKA, LBD! Truthfully it can be about any color of a little dress! Change your hair, makeup, earrings/necklace/bracelet/watch/ring, or handbag/shoes, and be on your merry little way! Any number of designer houses would be proud of us!

Longer earrings than usual are a given, whatever you wear. It ups the ante, in an instant! Chokers are a part of the jewelry scene this year, but not in a big way in my neck of the woods. I have yet to see one! Oh, well! What can I say; other than, it ain't a pearl necklace! If you are more of a necklace or a ring or bangle/watch girl; by all means, go for it. Strike a balance, whatever you do. No point in looking like you do not know your head from your feet!

I've seen quite a bit of fur this season; mostly faux, in stores and online. I find the faux fur scarves and handbags to be quite fetching. I cut a vintage fur coat down into a vest, a few months back. I need to finish the edges, and wear that baby! Soon, very soon...

Velvet is such a winner this fall and winter, be it a jacket, blouse, skirt or dress! What luxury!

I am quickly running out of time, here. I think I've said about all that I wanted to say. In a nutshell, just enough to get you to thinking about feeling good, looking good and being good, at least until next week! I really must start writing this blog earlier, but I hate to be too quick on the draw. Some of the most interesting news can come out before Friday, 5:00 P.M., EST!

The White House decorations are pretty nice, aren't they? The replicas of Sunny and Bo are adorable!

Do you read cookbooks? I do, some of the time! Check out The Best Books About Food of 2016, according to Smithsonian.com...

Sales! Sales! Sales! Sales!

Black Friday sales! Small Business Saturday sales! Cyber Monday sales! After Christmas sales! Where does it all begin? Where does it all end? Amazon Black Friday sales began last Wednesday. Walmart Cyber Week sales begin day after tomorrow. Confused? I'm not, yet. But if this keeps up...

I moonlighted at an exclusive women's fashion store weekends during the 90's for all but ten years running. Enjoyable as it was, I am not a huge fan of running around on Black Fridays. No need to, really. "The deals" ; be what they may, are often available leading up to and following Thanksgiving. Besides, "The deals"  just get better on Cyber Monday if not during December! Aaaaah; silky, silky! I wouldn't be too hasty in spending my hard earned dollars come Friday, if I were you. I'm just saying...

Holiday windows are uuuuup! Funny thing, though. Some look; rather interesting, shall we say. You be the judge...

Saks Fifth Avenue,  Macy's,  Bergdorf Goodman,  Barneys...

I thought I had a Nordstrom's to post; but, I just can't seem to put my fingers on it. It's probably because I'm dreaming of turkey, dressing, cranberry something or another and sweets! [I'm mom's helper and, and clean up crew! No need to mess up a good thing!] Do forgive...

A downtown Manhattan Coach store has opened on Fifth Avenue! That I would like to see! I have one. I wouldn't mind having another...

Bodysuits are It, in my book! The bodysuit makes everything fit so much more smoothly! That said, monitor your intake before donning! You do not want to have to make a bee dive to the powder room...

The best Black Friday shopping is where?

Not all cities are created equal, when it comes to shopping! No worries, we've got you covered. Get ready, set, go:  to the best Black Friday shopping, in every state! Wow!  

It is not at all unusual to find Black Friday sales the week before, the week of, and the week after Thanksgiving Day. Grab your cellphone, notepad or laptop, and see what you can see - today! You may as well know it. Harper's Bazaar has a list of stores you might want to consider going to. Excited, yet? I thought so!  

Kenneth Cole is expected to shut down almost all; if not, all of its stores. Macy's is expected to begin to close up to 100 stores, before year's end...

What can I say; other than, plan accordingly!

Some of the best commercials come out during the holiday season. I have run across Home for Christmas, Greatest Gift, and Coming Home for Christmas already. If these don't get you in the mood for the holidays, I do not know what will...

The phenomenon of Singles' Day!

Move over Black Friday! Move over Cyber Monday! A new kid is on the block! It is Singles' Day!

The online shopping event which originated in China, has reportedly eclipsed all previous online sales records here, there and everywhere!

The USA is beginning to get in on the new Singles' Day action! Why I received a Singles' Day sales blurb from J.Renee', just moments ago!

"Why China, and why now?" you might ask.Your guess is as good as mine! "Enjoy the ride," I say!

Tights weather is here! I discovered long ago that T.J.Maxx  is a good place to get hosiery and tights.  I like tights the color of my skin, with the occasional pair of black fishnets thrown in for good measure. Patterned tights are making a splash this fall. You may want to pick up a pair or two, just for the fun of it...

I'm dreaming of turkey, dressing and all of the desserts that I can get! Sooooo me!
